However, it appears that these recommendations have not been adequately addressed, as Pippy's case illustrates.
The ongoing issue of inadequate mental health care in correctional facilities is a systemic problem that requires urgent attention. The Ontario government's recent announcement to increase prison beds is a step in the right direction, but it is not enough.
